Teacher Training
Committed to the success of your teaching effectiveness, Odyssey Learning Services, in partnership with Educational Service Providers International, will hold 2-day regional training sessions each summer under the direction of expert educators. You can expect to gain expertise in implementing Odyssey's diverse product line, including implementation in the home school setting, individualized and interactive learning centers, enrichment labs and conventional classrooms. Plus, you will be sure to gain knowledge about distance learning technology so your school can really "make the world your classroom".

Hands-on training in the Switched-On Schoolhouse 2.0R² networked software will ensure that you will effectively utilize 21st century technology. Additional instructional topics will include diagnostic testing and placement, motivation, and curriculum applications. For those teaching Kindergarten and First grade, you will benefit from an in-depth training in the application of practical tools, which will build a strong learning-to-read program for your students.

Student Conventions he Northwest Student Convention, co-sponsored by Odyssey Learning Services, serves as fruitful ground to nurture young people in the development of their God-given talents. "God's Training Ground" exemplifies its mission. It tool to motivate, inspire and spiritually challenge these budding lives. The Convention helps you as parents and educators in molding children into vessels with a life purpose, a purpose to glorify the Creator in all avenues of living. The mission of the Northwest Student Convention is to provide a competitive environment where Christian young people have the opportunity to develop leadership skills for a life of ministry in whatever vocation or mission God calls. Students who have turned age 13, but have not turned age 19 by December 31, 2005, are eligible to compete in over 150 events, which include academics, art, photography, needle & thread, speech, drama, vocal and instrumental music, and many athletic events. This four-day competition is an exciting, action-packed event, which will promote enthusiasm and spiritual commitment, plus prove remarkable when you see the quality of talents revealed through competition. Northwest Student Convention is an event all student look forward to and is an effective tool to train students to reach their highest potential. Achievement Testing
Standardized achievement testing is a valuable tool administered yearly to evaluate and compare your students' academic mastery level against students of the same age or grade level. Odyssey Learning Services and its partner, Educational Service Providers International, provide the McGraw-Hill TerraNova CAT testing materials and scoring service. 

The TerraNova is in line with current state and national standards for course content in public schools and will meet state testing requirements. The reports will be helpful in assessing instruction and in guiding decisions about the way subjects should be taught in the future.
